Global Business English is an association of educators, writers, and business practitioners dedicated to the highest standards in Business English.Created by Steven Moore (Faculty) and Bill Wade (Webmaster), our goal is to provide the best web-based learning opportunities for people around the world to improve their Business English.
We operate as an informal division of Moore Partners Limited . Our structure is cooperative and based on consensus decision making. We are small, personal, and really take an interest in you and your success. What is Global Business English?
Business English includes idiomatic expressions (Losing the contract was a bitter pill to swallow; We are doing our best to eliminate the bottlenecks; Their advice is suspect, they have a dog in the fight); business buzzwords (synergy, core competences, knowledge base), and business jargon (strategic fit, received over the transom, dog and pony show, opportunity to monetize).
But Business English goes beyond words and expressions. It is a style of communicating that defines you as a person to be taken seriously. A person who is professional, persuasive and powerful.
